Problem/Error Message              Possible Solutions

1. CARD NOT SUPPORTED                               
        OR
    INVALID CARD                   Request another form of payment

2. CARD SWIPE ERROR                There is a problem with card's mag stripe
        OR                         Try swiping the card again
  READ CARD ERROR

3. CHIP MALFUNCTION -              There was an error reading the chip card
        OR
   USE MAG STRIPE                  Remove the card and re-try the transaction

4. COMM ERROR                      The device is having a problem communicating
                                   Unplug power to device and replug the power
ALWAYS RE-CONNECT THE POWER AFTER ENSURING THE COMMUNICATION CONNECTION IS SECURE
ALWAYS ENSURE THE INTERNET IS UP AND WORKING AND CONNECTED BEFORE RE-CONNECTING POWER
5. CONNECTION FAILED               The IP connection failed. See above
                                   Check that the router is functioning&correctly configured

6. DECLINED                        Ask for another form of payment

7. INVALID BATCH SEQUENCE          Issue while settling the previous batch
                                   Contact EKA Payments or After Hour Support

8. LOST CARRIER                    The carrier is lost during the exchange transaction
                                   The device auto reattempts the transaction
                                   After 3 failed attempts, refer to “COMM ERROR” msg

9. NO HOST RESPONSE                The device is having a problem communicating
                                   Try to send the transaction again

10. NO LINE                        The terminal does not recognize a working phone line.
                                   Check to ensure the telephone line is connected

11. PRINTER DOES NOT WORK          The printer may be out of paper
           OR                      Make sure the shiny side of printer paper faces up as
    PRINTER ERROR                     paper exits the printer

12. SETTLE FAILED                  The connection with the host was lost during batch close
                                   Settlement was not completed

13. Datawire 1007/1008 error       See #4 and #5 above
                                   Check that the Ethernet cable is plugged in
                                   Ensure router if functioning
                                   Unplug the power, leaving the Ethernet cable attached, 
                                      and wait five seconds
                                   Plug the power cord back in, and run a test transaction


14. “Commserver SoftPay” screen    Press F3 to access the SoftPay home screen

15. "Power Fail Recovery"          Usually caused by power loss during a transaction

Note: To change between lowercase and uppercase letters, hold Enter and press ALPHA.
To enter a period press the ALPHA button three times, then press 0.
You can connect A USB keyboard to the terminal to enter this information
with the keyboard.

3. Set Date and Time               Press CLEAR to return to Home Screen
                                   Press Orange Wrench (upper rt corner)
                                   Press Date/Time
                                   Enter correct date -(MMDDYYYY)
                                   Press Enter (green button)
                                   Enter correct time - (HHMMSS)

52:  Internet Timeout              Make sure router is connected&Internet working
53:  Send Error                    Unplug Terminal.  Wait 10 seconds and re-power
